News From The VSUAA Chaplain

Thank you for Joining Our First VSUAA Prayer Call of the Year!

Dear VSU Alumni,

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to each of you who joined us for the first Virginia State University Alumni Association Prayer Call of 2025. Your presence, prayers, and unity in faith created a powerful and uplifting experience for all.

Because of your engagement and the positive feedback we received, we are excited to announce that the prayer call will continue once a month!  Beginning in March, we will gather in prayer at 9 AM on the first Saturday of each month through December. We look forward to strengthening our spiritual connection and support for one another as we lift up our alma mater and our communities in prayer.

As we embark on this journey together, we are reminded of the words in 1 Corinthians 12:12-14:

“Just as a body, though one, has many parts, but all its many parts form one body, so it is with Christ. For we were all baptized by one Spirit so as to form one body—whether Jews or Gentiles, slave or free—and we were all given the one Spirit to drink. Even so, the body is not made up of one part but of many.”

Our collective strengths as alumni across the country make us a force for good, and through this prayer call, we continue to unite in purpose, faith, and service.  With gratitude and excitement, we invite you to mark your calendars and join us in prayer each month. A flyer with login details will be sent out soon.

Together, we are Building a Bridge to Greater!

Blessings,

Rev. Kenyana Dawson
VSUAA Chaplain
