Message From The President
Dear Alumni and Friends of VSU,
Thank you for visiting the Virginia State University Alumni Association website!
It is my pleasure to share the incredible history and work of our Alumni Association through our website. This site is designed to provide alums and friends with valuable information about the events and activities of our Association and beloved Alma Mater, Virginia State University (VSU).
As you peruse our website, we hope you will see that we offer opportunities for alums to meet one another, network, share college memories, and promote VSU to a new generation.
While we know your visit to our website will be informative, engaging, and enjoyable, please keep in mind that we've only given you a glimpse of all that our Association has to offer. Therefore, after your online visit, I invite you to connect with a local chapter in your area and attend one of their many alumni-friendly activities and events held throughout the year to see firsthand the benefits of why you should join us in our efforts. If there is no chapter in your area, we encourage you to consider starting one. We can't wait to provide you with a warm Trojan welcome!
Again, welcome to our website, and thanks for visiting. Don't forget to bookmark this site as one of your favorites and return each week or month to see new updates and features. We look forward to this site serving our alumni's growing and changing needs.
In Trojan Spirit,
Laurie M. Carpenter, VSU Class of '12 & '87

The Mighty Trojans start on the road against Barton College on a Thursday night, August 28, at 7 pm. The following week, the team will travel to rival Norfolk State, under the leadership of new coach Michael Vick, on September 6. After the bye week, they will play two away conference games, one against Winston-Salem State and one against Fayetteville State.
On October 4, Johnson C. Smith will travel to Rogers Stadium for the first home game, Military & First Responders Appreciation Day, and Family & Friends Weekend. After a trip to Bowie State, the Trojans play three straight at home against Elizabeth City State (Oct. 18), Bluefield State (Oct. 25), and Lincoln (Nov. 1) before finishing the season against Virginia Union on November 8. Elizabeth City State will be Faculty and Staff Appreciation, Bluefield State will be Homecoming, and Lincoln will be Senior Day. All home games will start at 2 pm unless televised by HBCU Go, which will start at 1 pm.
Get ready to reconnect and reminisce! We're excited to announce that we're holding a 25th Class Reunion for the 2001 graduating class!
It'll be 25 years coming up since we walked across that stage, and we want to see how far everyone has come. Whether you've stayed in touch or lost touch, this is the perfect opportunity to reconnect with old friends and make some new memories. We are asking everyone to make sure that we have your current contact information:
- Original Name while at VSU
- Phone number
- Email address
- Physical or mailing address
Please email this information to our Class email address at:
Hail State!

Do you know any alumni of Saint Paul's College? If so, then invite them to join us for "Saint Paul's College Day" on the campus of VSU as we recognize alumni and friends from Saint Paul's College and support VSU Athletics.
Here's to another year of good health and happiness. We hope it's a great day!
