Vsu Commissioning Ceremony Flyer

The Virginia State University Military Science Department and Military Alumni Chapter cordially invite you to the May 2024 ROTC Commissioning Ceremony. The event will be held in the L. Douglas Wilder Building at 1100hrs. on May 10th, 2024. Please R.S.V.P and support the University, the ROTC Department, and newly Commissioned Officers.

Join the VSUAA Baltimore Metro Chapter for worship service and bunch in celebration of VSU Founder's Day on March 10, 2024.  The chapter will celebrate together at 11AM at the Trinty Presbyterian Church in Baltimore, MD.  Afternoon brunch will be at the HomeSweetHome Cafe & Brunch following the worship service.

Join the VSUAA-Greater Triangle Area Chapter for worship service and brunch on March 17, 2024 in celebration of VSU Founder's Day.  The chapter will celebrate together at 11AM at the St. Joseph AME Church in Durham, NC.  Luncheon following service is $20 and a donation will be collected to present to the church.  For more information please contact Michael Williams at mtyronewilliams@gmail.com

VSU Receives $100,000 Commitment From Newport News Shipbuilding

Virginia State University is pleased to announce that HII’s Newport News Shipbuilding division has generously pledged $100,000 over five years to the university to establish the Newport News Shipbuilding Scholars Program. This program aims to provide financial assistance and mentorship to underrepresented students pursuing engineering and related degrees at VSU.

The Newport News Shipbuilding Scholars Program will provide much-needed support to students who may face financial barriers. The program will offer scholarships to cover educational expenses, as well as mentorship and internship opportunities with professionals in the engineering industry. This will help students achieve their academic goals and provide them with valuable experience and connections as they enter the workforce.
