Greetings Alumni and Friends,

FranklinOn behalf of the Virginia State University Alumni Association (VSUAA), I express my sincere thanks to everyone who has supported the "1000 Trojans Giving $ 100 Campaign" and to all of you who have worked tirelessly to make an investment in Virginia State University (VSU).

Becoming active in the VSUAA is a selfless way to give back to the university and a way to reconnect with fellow alumni as well as students. Join other alumni who are working to make a positive difference for VSU. The Alumni Association is your lifetime connection to your alma mater.

Join a local chapter near you or consider at-large membership which is only . Membership allows you to affiliate with chapters all over the country and abroad and to participate in the many events that take place on campus. Clearly, your continued support has allowed VSU to accomplish great things, but we cannot rest now. Please join my commitment to push forward as we drive to the finish line to help make Virginia State University the very best university it can be. 

On behalf of the entire VSUAA family, and especially our students who directly benefit from your outstanding generosity, I say "Thank You!"

2020 VSU Alumni Giving Campaign - #IM4VSU

VSU recently announced its fiscal year 2020 Alumni Giving Campaign called We are proud to announce our fiscal year 2020 Alumni Giving Campaign called #IM4VSU. 

The goal of the campaign is to raise module.5M from alumni and surpass 4,000 alumni donors. Within the giving campaign, there will be several giving opportunities for you to support VSU.  The first giving initiative is the Decade and Greek Giving Challenge. Now until October 18, 2019, VSU alumni are encouraged to invest in providing students a transformative experience. The decade and the Greek organization that raises the most money will be recognized during halftime of the homecoming football game when VSU takes on Bowie State University on October 19. Contributions to any fund with VSU and the VSU Foundation will count. Gifts of any amount to any fund must be received by 11:59 p.m. on October 18.

VSU Alumni Tour to Ethiopia 2019

The Office for International Education is partnering with the Office for Institutional Advancement to host a cultural tour for VSU Alumni in Ethiopia, December 10-20, 2019.  The program is ,292 and includes all international and domestic flights, hotel accommodation (double occupancy), entry to cultural sites and tours, and several meals. Participants can make payments online between now and November.

To access the online registration, visit In the box labeled "Trip Identification Number" all participants will enter Trip Id175902. This registration is where all participants will enter their personal information to officially register in the system, as well as make payments. Upon completion of registration, all participants will receive a confirmation email and a visa tool kit that further explains their visa needs and instructions for entering Ethiopia.

Payment Calendar 2019
  • Enrollment Deposit -  Due June 15, 2019 - $ 400 (Non-refundable) 
  • Payment 1 -  Due July 5, 2019 - $ 766
  • Payment 2 -  Due August 2, 2019 - $ 766
  • Payment 3  - Due September 6, 2019 - $ 766
  • Payment 4 -  Due October 4, 2019  - $ 766
  • Payment 5 -  Due November 4, 2019 - $ 768
  • INEXT International Insurance - Due November 15, 2019 -  $ 60 
  • Participants should have their passports by September 1, 2019.  Visa processing is included.  Participants will receive instructions regarding the visa process.   

    Accommodations are double-occupancy.  A single supplement is an additional $ 398 (for the duration of the program).

    Immunizations:  Participants need to check the Centers for Disease Control -  for updated information about immunizations and travel information for Ethiopia.  Immunizations are not included in the program fee.
