VSUAA Announces Transition Meeting
In May 2008, new officers to the Association's Executive Board were elected to lead the Alumni Association for the next two years, 2009-2011. Our newly elected officers include:
- President -- Charlyne E. Jackson-Fields, Fredericksburg Area Chapter
- Vice President -- Erenest E. Miller, Prince Edwards Chapter
- Recording Secretary -- Claudette Lundy - Mecklenburg/Brunswick Chapter
- Corresponding Secretary -- Starrie Jordan - Greater Petersburg Chapter
- Treasurer -- Yvette G. Robinson - Agriculture Chapter
- Financial Secretary -- Rachel Hamilton - Dinwiddie County Chapter
- Chaplain -- Doris McCray - Columbia, MD Chapter
- Parliamentarian -- Valerie Jones - VSU Deltas Chapter
The purpose of the transition meeting is to develop a plan which ensures continuity between outgoing officers and incoming officers. This meeting is open to all Board Members, however, it is expected that all newly elected members and officers be in attendance.

Time: 9:00 A.M. - 3:00 P.M.
The transition meeting will:

Introduce board members to one another and take board member pictures.

Explain board member requirements and expectations.

Provide answers to your questions concerning the Virginia State University Alumni Association and the role it plays in support of the University.
Attendance must be confirmed by June 30, 2008.
